We've previously talked about several America First Economic principles. Here's another one: a powerful economy and healthy society prioritize production over consumption. Unfortunately, our economy currently has that flipped. So, we're going to discuss how overconsumption is hurting us and some practical steps we can take to fix it.
Too many Americans are addicted to buying things. And it's destroying us. It's destroying our health. It's destroying our finances. It's destroying our relationships.
That's exactly what the elites want.
We've talked about how the elites exploit people to increase profits. Their first priority is cheap labor. That might mean sending jobs overseas. Or mistreating US workers with low pay and bad working conditions. But the craziest part is the elites turn around and sell those cheaply-made products to the same Americans who were discarded or taken advantage of in the first place. How twisted is that?
What's the elites’ excuse? That all their misdeeds don't matter since they're making goods cheaper. What's wrong with cheap things? Nothing. The problem is when we get addicted to cheap, without regard for quality or ethical business practices. And without regard for whether we need to make that purchase at all.
The elites engineer the economy around getting us to buy stuff, even if we don't need it or it's terrible for us. Things like technology, unhealthy food, and even social media. Their business model is to reduce us to permanent overconsumers.
